After acquiring the Miss Intercontinental franchise license in February, Mutya ng Pilipinas (MNP) announced its formal ties with two new pageants, Miss Chinese World and Miss Environment International.
With this latest development, it named Ms. Chinatown 2022 Berjayneth Chee and Anie Uson as its bets for Miss Chinese World while Shannon Robinson was chosen to compete in Miss Environment International.
“Anie will represent Metro Manila while Berjaneth will represent Misamis Oriental,” said Cory Quirino, president and national director of MNP.
Miss Chinese World, founded by Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi of Malaysia, which aims to promote goodwill and friendship among Chinese beauties in celebration of Chinese culture, values, and tradition, will have its Coronation Night on May 20. Meanwhile, Miss Environment International, founded in 2019 by Rushikesh Mirajkar and Christoph Cautaerts of India, which aims to protect the planet, through its sustainability and environment-friendly platforms, will be held in Mumbai, India on June 11.
