TUAO, Cagayan – The lighting of a giant Christmas tree and the spectacular radiance of Christmas Village lights at the Municipal Town Hall Compound & Atty. Leonardo N. Mamba Gymnasium in Centro 2, Tuao West, and Sub Office in Naruangan, Tuao East has drawn together residents from this town on the eve of November 26 and 27, respectively.
Mayor William N. Mamba warmly welcomed each of the villagers during the Christmas tree and Christmas Village lighting ceremony.
This signaled the Christmas festivities (in our locality) and the start of Christmas-themed displays creativity and teamwork to spread the Yuletide cheers with all of you, he said.
“This is our first time that we’re having this merriment since the Covid-19 pandemic, and it’s the time that we enjoy as we share our love and hard work as I am tasked to do,” Mamba stressed before switching on the dazzling lights display.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Governor Manuel N. Mamba expressed gratitude for a festive glee and appreciated the preparation of the 32 barangays.
“We now rejoice in this yuletide season as we have recovered from the struggles of the pandemic which in no time is now endemic.”
The opening of the Christmas Bazaar and Christmas photo booth added to a colorful and blissful occasion with the different presentations of a dance competition. The light display turned the façade of the Tuao Municipal building and grounds into a palette of dazzling colors that illuminated Christmas balls and glitters.
The much-awaited fireworks display whirls in a spiral and some shatter into thousands of sparks, while others tumble like a scarlet rocket that concluded the event leaving the residents entertained with excitement.
The Officialdom of the Municipality of Tuao, Ms. Judith Matammu-Mamba, wife of Mayor William Mamba, Cagayan Provincial Police Director Police Colonel Julio Gorospe Jr., and other prominent visitors joined in the remarkable event.
Tuao town is the bailiwick of Mamba clan and has been known as the “Land of the Brave and Home of Good Leaders.”
