How Dingdong Dantes sees ‘Amazing Earth’ as platform to involve viewers in green efforts

While taking local viewers to breathtaking destinations across the country and around the world and sharing unique stories about nature, animals, and local heroes, Amazing Earth host Dingdong Dantes believes that viewers also play a significant role in making sure that future generations would still see and experience the amazing wonders our world has to offer.

The TV host and actor underscores the proactive participation of every member of the community in taking care of the environment and not just relying solely on government initiatives.

“I know that the current administration has ideas para mapalakas at mapabuti ang polisiyang ito. Pero sa aking palagay, ang susi para makamit ang mga ito ay ang pagkakaroon ng proper execution at strong political will para ma-realize ang mga goals na ito. Pero hindi ito nagtatapos sa pamahalaan lamang. Malaking bahagi din ang participation nating mga mamamayan,” Dingdong said during the online presser for Amazing Earth, which now celebrates its fourth year.

“I think, everyone has their own role in taking care of all these God-given gifts. Be it animals, the environment o kahit ano man, pati itong tinatamasa nating kalayaan, di ba? Kailangan pangalagaan natin. And everyone should play their significant part by being responsible citizens,” he went on.

As the host and the first person to see what the program will share with the viewers, Dingdong admits that he enjoys and learns a lot from the show, which has already aired more than 200 episodes.

“Hosting the show is not just work for me, it’s a way of life ko na rin. Bumalik ako sa pagiging estudyante ng buhay,” he said.

And with a monthlong fourth anniversary special, Dingdong guarantees that they will deliver more exciting adventures and stories to viewers every week.

“I’m very grateful dahil marami pa kaming ipapakitang kuwento, hindi lang tungkol sa mga hayop at kapaligiran kundi pati ang amazing Earth heroes na laging ipinaglalaban ang kalikasan. Marami pa kaming ibibida na mga hidden travel destination.”
