Avid viewers saw just how versatile Yassi Pressman is as an artist. She’s played numerous antagonist roles on television and in movies before landing a pivotal role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano alongside Coco Martin. She made audiences laugh and cry. She even left them in awe with her dance moves.
She continued to surprise everyone when she grabbed the opportunity to be the host for Rolling In It Philippines, an arcade game show that combines general knowledge and luck.
Following a year of success with high viewer ratings because of its unpredictability and overall appeal, Rolling In It Philippines returns for a second season and promises to double the surprises compare to the previous season.
Much like the coins that are crucial in the game show, Yassi is also showing a different side to her hosting—one that goes beyond her comfort zone.
“I think I’m a little bit more open this time. Parang mas kumportable na kasi dati parang nahihiya pa ako,” she said during the media conference for Rolling In It Season 2.
Yassi is also willing to see how far she can go as a host and how comfortable she is when talking to other people. She added that the show’s production team also encouraged her to be herself and explore her funny side when interacting with the contestants and celebrity guests.
The contestants for Rolling In It Season 2, who Yassi already met, come from different parts of the country.
“Marami kaming iba-ibang kwento and I feel like everybody’s different kasi lahat naman may ibang pinanggagalingan. Stories of their family, why they’re joining, and saan nila gagamitin ‘yung mapapalunan nila, that’s different everytime,” she said.
Aside from being more open to interaction with the contestants, Yassi will also show a more comical side to her personality through a series of witty quips that viewers can laugh along with and relate to, which is part of the show’s charm that makes it a hit among the public.
Being a game show host also requires Yassi to take better care of herself. She shared that she takes care of her voice and well-being by drinking water or tea and taking a well-deserved vacation, especially since she runs and manages several businesses.
Yet regardless of her condition, Yassi believes that the most significant part of her role is to ensure that everyone is having fun.
Rolling In It Season 2’s pilot episode premiered last May 28, Saturday, and had Nadine Lustre, Chad Kinis, and Jerald Napoles playing alongside the contestants. Other celebrity guests who will soon make an appearance on the show span from YouTube and TikTok stars, sports personalities, and more.
The show also upped the ante as contestants stand a chance to win P2 million.
