Pacquiao is 8th richest

Filipino Senator Manny Pacquiao is the eighth wealthiest athlete in the world throughout the decade (2010 to 2019), according to a list released by Forbes.

Pacquiao’s “25 pay-per-view fights have generated 20 million buys and an estimated $1.3 billion in revenue,” Forbes said.

Pacquiao’s estimated personal earnings in the decade reached $435 million or over P22 billion. 

Undefeated retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr topped the list, with an estimated $915 million in earnings, including $500 million combined for his 2015 and 2017 fights versus Pacquiao and Conor McGregor. In a tweet, Mayweather congratulated “every athlete on this list.”
