A true Blue Eagle indeed.
Cocolife president Atty. Jose Martin Loon, an Ateneo de Manila University 2008 graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, is one of the legions of Ateneo men’s basketball avid supporters in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.
He did not miss a game in the best-of-three finals, where the Katipunan dribblers swept the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers in dominant fashion to achieve a rare “three-peat” and an immaculate16-0 slate in the 82nd UAAP Season.
The Blue Eagles’ 86-79 thumping of the Tigers in a Game 2 clincher at the Mall of Asia Arena, had the white and blue dribblers becoming one of the most successful squads and the best effective basketball programs in the 82-year-old athletic association.
“I take my hat off to the Ateneo Blue Eagles for achieving a rare “three-peat.” It will not stop here. I’m sure they will continue their successful tradition. Winning is life,” said Atty. Loon, who also backs the mighty Davao Occidental team in Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
Loon also wished the Eagles, particularly 3-time MVP Thirdy Ravena and top gun Mike Nieto, and coach Tab Baldwin, the best of luck.
