Petron Corp. will implement a P0.30 per kilo increase in liquefied petroleum gas prices equivalent to P3.30 per 11-kilo tank effective 12:01 a.m., Nov. 1.
Petron, the country’s biggest oil company will also increase its auto LPG prices by P0.20 per liter.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of November,” Petron said.
Other oil players are expected to also adjust price on Friday.
As this developed, the Department of Energy warned the public against companies wrongfully claiming to be legitimate players of the downstream oil industry.
DOE said endorsements to the Securities and Exchange Commission issued by the agency, through its Oil Industry Management Bureau merely serves to inform the commission that the department interposes no objection to the registration of companies wishing to engage in the downstream oil business.
