Some 237 female inmates of the Iloilo City District Jail breathe life into what is now called 'Bayaning Inday' dolls, now on display at the mid-rise National Commission for Culture and the Arts building in the old 'Walled City' of Intramuros in Manila—properly a cap to Women’s Month, which introduces the story of pain, survival, resistance and resilience of women mothering behind bars.
