Standard Insurance’s Duathlon Team swept the recent Singapore Duathlon National Championship, with Emmanuel Commendador (20) and Monica Torres, (5) emerging as men’s and women’s champions in the elite divisions. Placing second and third are Joey De los Reyes (19) and Robeno Javier (14), respectively. On the other hand, placing fourth and fifth are John Topia, without bib, and Jarwyn Banatao (21). The team has been training under Triathlon Association of the Philippines’ coaching program, with coach Melvin Fausto and coach Bernie Llantada in preparation for the SEA Games 2019 in early December, where there will be duathlon events as part of triathlon to be held at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales.
