ORANI, Bataan—About 2,000 residents here benefitted from the medical and dental mission organized by First District Board Member Benjie Serrano in Barangay Balut here on Sunday.
About 1,000 residents availed of the free medical services, 500 benefitted from the dental mission, and 200 got free haircuts. Free medicines as well as reading glasses were also given.
“The outreach program was through our Benser Foundation, which was formed by our family, the Serrano Family, to help other people,” said the board member, who also chairs the foundation.
The mission was conducted in cooperation with foundation’s constant partners, the Caloocan Filipino Chinese Charity Clinic, Rotary Club Kalookan Central, and Innerwheel Kalookan Central.
“The fund came from donations of Serrano businesses as our share to help Orani folks and the entire first district of the province,” he added.
“The good thing about the Benser Foundation is that we can always help even with no politics involved,” Serrano said.
