“NGCP is grateful to help especially host communities,” said NGCP president and CEO Anthony Almeda in a message read by the state firm’s OIC Head of Right of Way Division Atty. Yasha Paredes.

“We hope the fund we donated will be able to truly help drug reformists,” Almeda added.

Hermosa is the 4th town in Bataan to receive donation from NGCP for the drug reformists’ rehabilitation program that started in 2016, Lopez said.

“This is a pilot project. We came to pick Bataan for your successful anti-illegal drugs campaign,” Paredes told local officials.

NGCP has already donated P4.3 million for the drug surrenderers’ reformation program of three Bataan towns. Dinalupihan and Orion towns received P1.74 million each and Balanga City got P800,000.

“We thank local leaders for giving us the opportunity to help in the drug reformation program in the province,” said Senior District 5 Manager Engineer Napoleon.

NGCP District 5 or the West Central Plain covers the provinces of Bataan and Zambales.

“Bataan has effective governance, care for the environment and is clean,” said Napoleon, who has been holding office at NGCP Hermosa Substation for the last 15 years.

NGCP Corporate Communication Officer Fely Francisco was the event’s master of ceremonies.
