The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office has donated a P2-million sponsorship to the Philippine Commission on Women for the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women in November 2018.

“It’s time to further our collective actions to end violence against women. Let us all work together so that our women and girls can live free from harassment, harmful practices, and all other forms of violence. I hope that this sponsorship from PCSO will go a long way to boost the campaign,” said PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan who led the turnover of check to PCW.

The 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women is observed annually from Nov. 25 to Dec. 12 to raise awareness among all stakeholders that VAW is a public issue of national concern.

It supports the Philippine government’s goal to protect the human rights of women and its commitment to address all forms of VAW.

The event was also witnessed by the PCSO Chairman Anselmo Simeon Pinili and other members of the board and PCW representatives.
