To mark its fourth year, the Phil-Bike Convention Inc. will launch the PHILBIKE EXPO 2018 at the World Trade Center on Sept. 7 to 9 with this year’s theme “BIKE as ONE,” featuring five key events and programs that aim for the development and growth of local cycling, fitness and recreation community in the country.
KOMEDYA AT BISIKLETA, one of the highlights of the expo, is a stand-up comedy act endorsing biking as an active lifestyle, with Kaladkaren Davila, an internet sensation and now a TV host, participating in the program.
Other programs include the Jericho Ride, a ride for a religious cause with the Godspeed Ministry; a musical event for the participants in the expo titled Music Lane; a recognition of bodies with great contribution to the cycling industry named Philbike Awards; and Bike Laban, which brings the best of bike artists amongst “Pinoy Kapadyaks.”
“It’s why we call it Bike as One, from the smallest to the biggest, or from the smallest sector of society who wants to buy, up to the highest level,” said President and Chairman of Phil-Bike Gaudi Quiballo.
The Phil-Bike Convention Inc. aims to uplift the Philippine Cycling Industry and Communities through programs like the PHILBIKE EXPO, with more than 100 brands of cycling participating and up to 80% discount given on selected items.
“It’s good for the environment and it’s good for your health, not that we want to eliminate the cars here in the Philippines, but we want to showcase the alternative mode of transportation and also, part of the advocacy of Phil-Bike is to uplift the cycling industry,” said Marketing Director Gian Quiballo.
The event’s beneficiaries this year are Bantay Kalikasan of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation and CCF’s Godspeed Bike Ministry.
