This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

HYPER, 10 months old, is a female aspin (asong pinoy) given by the sister of Alphaphi Gallano to her. Hyper has been her baby girl ever since.
“Masarap sa pakiramdam na napalaki mo ang furbaby mo na masigla at malusog, “ she says. (It feels good to know that you have nurtured a pup into a vibrant, healthy dog.)
MATTHEW, human son of Mitch Canlas, rescues cats. He sleeps with them in his room.
Says Mitch: “My son, Matthew, is a rescuer by heart. He sleeps well if cats sleep with him.”
“Cats take two-thirds of the bed, hooman, one-third,” Mitch adds.
TABBY, 8-10 months, was a stray puppy before Alex-Zandra Palmero adopted him.
“I remember how excited he was when I was about to feed them (strays) outside of our house.” Alex-Zandra says.
She adds, ”Well, until now he's still excited during feeding time.”
She describes Tabby as “a happy, energetic, hyper, super takaw na puppy. He's very friendly to other people and loves playing with my toddler too. One thing I can say: I will never regret adopting him.”
