Protected Area

Department of Agrarian Reform Undersecretary David Erro stresses that under Presidential Proclamation No. 1064, Boracay Island in the municipality of Malay, Aklan had been declared as forestland and is a protected area during a press briefing at DAR main office in Quezon City on Monday (April 30, 2018). It is also classified as Agricultural land (alienable and disposable) pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 705 (revised forestry reform code of the Philippines) signed by then President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on May 22, 2006.
