This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.
Meet ZOEY, a two-year old beagle, who loves playing and coming up with hilarious antics.
Her mommy, Denise Concepcion, shares: “She'd sometimes look like she came from the rice fields or joined the Ati-Atihan just before a scheduled bath. She can fix her own bed but a real joy for her is having younger puppies to play with. “
This is KETCHUP, a kitten rescued by Eleanor Agulto.
Eleanor says: ”I got him as a tiny kitten in our village's tricycle stop. I figured his nine lives won't go very far there, so I scooped him up and brought him home. Ketchup is a playful dynamo and only keeps still when he's sleeping.”
TRIXIE is Elsa Manio’s bundle of joy.
“Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Trixie is a six-year old shih tzu who just recently learned to listen to commands and interact with other dogs. She used to not have any drive to play but now she can run and make you laugh when she tries to get your attention,” Elsa shares.
