During the briefing in Malacañang, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea has formally charged Carandang for grave misconduct and grave dishonesty.

This was for the disclosure of the President's alleged bank accounts.

The documents were supposedly used by Senator Antonio Trillanes as basis for his complaint against the chief executive.

Roque said the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) had described the figures stated in the documents as false and misleading.

AMLC had also said it was not the source of any report resulting from any investigation on the President's bank accounts.

Duterte had previously said his lifetime savings would not be over P 40 million.
