“I thank the QCPD, especially Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, since the city was generally peaceful. We noticed a 40 percent drop in crime,” he said.

Comparing the last 18 months from July 2016 to December 2017 with the previous 18 months from January 2015 to June 2016, QCPD statistics showed a notable 40.09 percent decline in the eight index crimes (murder, homicide, robbery, theft, physical injury, motorcycle theft, motor vehicle theft, rape) or 8,931 crime incidents in the last 18 months compared to 14,908 in the prior 18 months. Rio N. Araja Eleazar, for his part, cited the notable decline in the eight major crimes, saying these could be attributed to the collaborative efforts of every member of the QCPD working in partnership with the community with the full support of Bautista.
