Urdaneta U gains new school building

Resorts World Philippines Cultural Heritage Foundation has turned over a 24-classroom, four-story school building to Urdaneta City University that includes 100 computer units and a 500-KVA generator set for the school’s general education classes.

The foundation of Resorts World Manila made it possible in partnership with the local government of Urdaneta and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp, as the firm committed to ensuring a brighter future for the country by investing in today’s youth, the future professionals and leaders of the land.

“Resorts World Manila believes in today’s generation and is happy to provide modern, world-class learning facilities so students may continue to nurture their dreams and hopefully in the future contribute to a better Philippines,” said Atty. Gina Alvarez, chief legal officer of RWM.

Earlier, RWPCHF also launched a drug treatment and rehabilitation center in Davao City to help victims of the country’s drug menace once again become functional members of society.

“To date, RWPCHF has provided more than 120 classrooms and 30 computer laboratories in various public elementary and high schools all over the country, and supported poor but talented students in the field of performing arts by providing scholarships and financial grants in their chosen universities,” Alvarez said.
