THE Sandiganbayan on Thursday granted the plea of former Makati City mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay to go out of the country to take his six-year-old daughter to the United States of America for a medical checkup.
“The Court, over the prosecution’s opposition, hereby resolves to grant accused permission to travel abroad to Los Angeles, California, United States of America to accompany his daughter on her appointment with immunologist Dr. Ricardo Tan,” the resolution read.
The anti-graft court directed Binay to post a travel bond of P680,000.
Binay filed a motion to travel with the Third Division to travel to Los Angeles with his daughter to see an allergist and immunologist about his daughter’s skin condition.
