The Deparment of Justice bans the entry of religious groups in New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre made this announcement in a press conference on Friday morning.

His decision comes, following reports that some persons are able to bring in illegal drugs and tools for manufacturing shabu inside the prison complex by pretending to be preachers or part of groups that hold religious programs.
Aguirre says as a result of this directive, a thanksgiving event that a big religious organization was supposed to produce has just been called off.
The DOJ maintains, the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) is now in charge of security inside NBP and its operations must not be hampered in any way.
