With the endless heat enveloping the metro, and even with the sporadic rains here and there, it seems like summer has filed for an extension and rainyday wear won’t leave our closet for a couple more weeks. That means more time to shop for Spring/Summer trends.
The highlight on endless Pinterest feeds during the Coachella music festival season is bohemian, a style that never seems to go out of season. If you’re inspired by the endless fashion feeds from the music fest, which you didn’t get to attend but intently watched through Snapchat and Instagram feeds for every fashion update, you can still sport the look. Bershka’s collection for Spring-Summer 2016 offers a wide array of the rustic, raw and gypsy vibe in modern application.
If you’ve been nursing that Coachella moodboard for the last month, go ahead and shop for the look and sport it for casual brunch with friends, during a stroll at the mall, or on your next Tinder date.
Bershka’s Spring-Summer 2016 collection is overall eclectic and exudes a youthful vibe. For ladies and their teen line BSK, highlights are neutral and earth tone palettes in handmade aethetic inspired by pattern making. Just like the Coachella fashion trend, the collection features a lot of rustic textures in prints and embroidery with a lot of macrame, a form of textile-making where knotting is used rather than the usual weave or knit. Women can go glam like a tribal goddess with an African-inspired trend of asymmetric dresses and military Saharan jackets.
For a casual Friday, there are also ribbed dresses, trumpet-end and wide leg pants. And if you’re not done with glamping on the beach, sport their ethnic prints with flowers and tie-dye in tank tops, dresses and kimonos. But if you’re heading out for an intimate night, choose from their array of lingerie-inspired sleep dresses.
For the Bershka Man, Spring-Summer 2016 collection is infused with inpirations from technology, musical aesthetics and urban appeal. The color palette features a lot of earthy tones, off-white, browns, ochre, and terracotta along with khaki, powdery blue and navy. Unlike the women’s collection where prints and embroidery are prevalent, the men’s line focuses on clear non-printed textures. But, just like the women’s line, they are also paired up with the boho look complete with fedora, poncho, oversized shirts and trucker jackets in denim.
In the Philippines, Bershka is located at Ayala Center Cebu, Glorietta 2, SM Aura Premier, and Mega Fashion Hall. Follow @ssilifeph on Instagram for more information.
