Isuzu celebrates milestone 250,000th unit sales

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the country’s diesel authority, recently chalked up another milestone in their corporate history with the sale of their 250,000th truck unit in the commercial vehicle segment. Held in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary celebration of Isuzu Mandaue where the truck sale was consummated, IPC flew in select members of the motoring media to cover the historic event. In attendance were Ayala Corporation and IPC executives led by Isuzu Automotive Dealership Inc. President and COO Manny Aligada and VP for Sales of IPC Yasuhiko Oyama. The N-Series NHR light duty truck was officially turned over to Cebu-based fleet distributor Ever Consumer Sales Inc. The newly acquired N-series NHR truck will be used by Ever Consumer Sales Inc in distributing quality consumer products in the entire island of Cebu. Designed to cater to every type of entrepreneurial needs, the Isuzu N-Series NHR provides durable, powerful, and efficient performance to keep up with the pace of the daily transportation needs of a business.

“With the growing trust and confidence of our consumers on Isuzu vehicles, we are very positive that we can further surpass our 250,000 unit sales milestone and look forward to celebrating another milestone in the years to come”, Oyama proudly stated. The youthful IPC executive also revealed that the Isuzu NHR is part of the N-Series model line-up, which consistently holds the number one position in the Category III truck segment.  “Since 1999, IPC already manufactured 36,378 units of the N-Series and we are very proud that the 250,000th unit sold is an Isuzu NHR as it currently our best-selling light truck variant,” explains Oyama. , “The partnership between IPC and Ever Consumer Sales is a proof of confidence that Cebu is considered as one of the important market for Isuzu in Central Visayas, he added. 

Isuzu’s ceremonial turnover of the 250,000th unit was followed by an Anniversary Kick-Off Party for Isuzu Cebu, Inc (ICI)—a company wholly-owned by Ayala Corporation and franchised dealer of Isuzu Commercial Vehicles. Isuzu Cebu Inc has branches strategically spread around the Southern archipelago with dealerships in Cebu, Mandaue, Bohol, Iloilo, and Talisay. The company celebrates 19 years of doing business in the auto industry this year, and continues to provide Cebuanos with an excellent premium service, both in products and after-sales.

Also in attendance during the official turnover ceremony of the NHR unit were Isuzu Philippines Division Head of Sales Joseph Bautista, and Isuzu Cebu Inc. General Manager Steve Gingco, who handed over the ceremonial key of the Isuzu NHR unit to Ever Consumer Sales Inc President and CEO Brandon Derick Sy and Peter Limquiaco.  Gingco also recognized loyal workers of the dealership by giving out plaques of recognition and a video presentation highlighting key moments of Isuzu Mandaue’s 20th year of service in Cebu. “We are happy with the turnout of special guests and visitors from Manila. With the efforts of our sales and technical personnel, plus the support of the Ayala Corporation and IPC, we are looking forward to 20 more years in the domestic automotive industry,” says Gingco.
