A PRICEY phone like an iPhone needs plenty of TLC. It’s a fact. You need to maintain it, protect it and make sure it’s always in top form to get back every last peso you spent on it. For those who own one, it’s an investment worth spending on.
And for this purpose, Belkin, an accessory brand, has developed new products for the new generation of iPhones – iPhone 8, 8+, and X.
“For as long as Filipinos rely on their iPhones for work, Power Mac Center (PMC) and our premium partners like Belkin will keep finding ways to bring technology that improves lives and keeps us connected to things important to us,” said Power Mac Center Marketing Director Joey Alvarez.
An iPhone needs a durable screen protection as there’s nothing more heart-stopping than the sound of your iPhone’s glass screen shattering as it hits the ground.
The new Belkin TrueClear Pro 2.0 Overlay (Corning glass or Tempered glass with a price that starts at P1,090) keeps iPhone screen scratch-free and provides extra protection from drops, accidental or otherwise, without sacrificing its look and touchscreen sensitivity.
At the Power Mac Center, trained professionals use the proprietary Belkin applicator machine to apply the screen protector. This makes the usual mistakes like misalignment, bubbles and trapped dust a thing of the past.
The new Belkin Wireless Charging Pad (starts at P1,690) for iPhone 8, 8+, and X foregoes messy cables as it charges in multiple orientations: portrait, landscape, or anywhere in between. No need to remove the phone case as Belkin’s wireless charger works through most lightweight plastic cases.
Electromagnetic induction is the secret to wireless charging. The transmitter coil in the charging base generates a signal and senses the one in the receiver coil of the iPhone, and then the electrons inside the transmitter coil start to flow around it. A magnetic field is generated and is sensed by the electrons in the receiver coil. The electrons trapped inside the receiver coil then start to flow around it and generate electricity, which eventually powers the iPhone battery.
If a cable is necessary, the Belkin MIXIT DuraTek (starts at P1,690) avoids lightning cable-related problems such as fraying and breakage. The double-braided nylon outer covering protects the wires, which are especially reinforced with Kevlar, the same high-strength synthetic fiber used in bullet-resistant vests, helmets, and extreme sports gear.
These new products are now available in select Power Mac Center stores nationwide. The Power Mac Center, a pioneer in offering the entire Apple ecosystem in the Philippines, is now a lifestyle shopping destination that brings the finest in premium accessories from exclusive audio devices, to sleek cases and the latest enhancements.
