City sisterhood

The City of Parañaque and the City of Carson, California USA recently sealed a sisterhood agreement to foster understanding, unity and goodwill at the International Sculpture Garden in Carson. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez (second from left) and Carson City Mayor Albert Robles (left) during the celebration of the 121st anniversary of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. The ceremony came in time for Carson’s 50th cityhood anniversary and Parañaque’s 20th. Signing as witnesses were Olivarez’s wife Janet, Parañaque Councilor Marvin Santos (right) and Carson City Councilor Elito Santarina (not in photo).
