Herbert orders Amoranto sports stadium upgrade

QUEZON City Mayor Herbert Bautista wants to construct a 5.3-hectare state-of-the-art modern sports arena within the Amoranto Sports Complex.

He instructed city engineers to upgrade the sports complex located at 140 Don A. Roces Avenue.

The mayor also vowed to continuously support sports programs to enhance the skills and talent of the youth, and to promote a drug-free and productive community as well.

Moreover, Bautista ordered the development of a 34-hectare property of the Piedad Estate in Capitol Hills into a modern green recreation park and sports complex.

He vowed to deliver more infrastructure projects in 2018, such as modern sports facilities.

Meanwhile, Bautista congratulated the 15-man Quezon City Stars Basketball Team for bagging the championship in the north division under the men’s senior category of the 1st Metro Basketball Tournament 2017.

The Quezon City Stars Basketball Team is composed of city residents from 16 to 24 years old with head coach John Paul Ycasiano.
