Makati City Mayor Abigail Binay on Tuesday encouraged all jobseekers to come and take advantage of the city’s second job fair on Nov. 10, with over 4,500 job vacancies to be filled in during the one-day event.
The city’s Public Employment Services Office, in close coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment, will be holding the mega job fair from 8 a.m. onwards at the Valenzuela Covered Court, Hormiga corner Tanay Streets in Barangay Valenzuela.
“We advise applicants to bring many copies of their resumes with their 2×2 ID picture so they could have more chances of getting hired right away,” Binay said.
Binay said Business Process Outsourcing firms like Asia Premier One Source and MDS Call Solutions Inc. will be recruiting for qualified call center agents during the event.
Other participating companies for the mega job fair include Burlington Industries, EEI Corp., Fieldmen Janitorial Services Corp., Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc., Hi-Precision Diagnostic, North Asia Central, Philippine Survey and Research Center, and Receivers and Liquidators.
SM Hypermarket, SM Supermarket, Luk Yuen, JTC Group of Companies, Asticom Technology, Absolute Sales Inc., and Robinson Retail Holdings Inc., among others.
Applicants can also choose among participating employment agencies, including EastWest Placement Center Inc. and YHMD International Manpower Services, Inc., which offer jobs abroad.
Local manpower agencies that confirmed participation in the job fair include Ablebodies Manpower Services, Citiworks Manpower Resources, Dames International, Hernando Manpower Services, Mirof Resources Inc., Reliable Workforce and General Services, Topserve Manpower Service Solution, and Transorient Manpower Services Inc.
Pre-employment offices like the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) and PhilHealth will also be present during the job fair to assist applicants.
