The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte through the Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office, in partnership with the National Youth Commission and Department of Education-Ilocos Norte, strengthened their inclusive youth programs at the “Dayalogo 2017” held at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Library last Dec. 4.

“Dayalogo 2017” tackled issues on youth registration programs, youth governance, and community-based programs for out of school youth, and aimed to address these through implementing inclusive youth development programs.

It was attended by representatives from the NYC headed by Commissioner James Ventura; Senior Board Member Matthew Marcos Manotoc; INYDO, headed by Executive Director Weenter Ventura; and up to 40 student leaders from DepEd Ilocos Norte, DepEd Laoag, and DepEd Batac.

The Youth Organization Registration Program of the NYC is pursuant to Republic Act 8044 or the Youth Building Act, which mandates the NYC to register help and facilitate the establishment of youth organizations and serving organizations through the national registration program.
