6 Cavite cities, 14 towns ace DILG test

GENERAL TRIAS CITY—Six out of seven cities and 14 out of 16 towns in Cavite have passed the Good Financial Housekeeping criteria for year 2017 of Department of the Interior and Local Government based on the list of awardees released last October 6.

The cities of General Trias, Imus, Bacoor, Dasmariñas, Trece Martires and Cavite City passed the criteria thru compliance with accounting and auditing standards, rules and regulations.

The municipalities of Noveleta, Alfonso, Amadeo, Carmona, Indang, Kawit, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Rosario, Silang, Ternate and Gen. Mariano Alvarez also passed the bar set by the DILG.

“This is the joint effort of all the local officials in Cavite,” Noveleta Mayor Dino Reyes Chua said. “Without them we can’t make this possible, to pass and win the prestigious award. Congratulations to all of us the winners.”
