SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya―Vice President Leni Robredo recently led health and local government officials in the opening of another private hospital along the national highway here.
Dr. Willie Damasco, chairman of the Salubris Medical Center, said the private hospital is owned by Salubris Inc.―taken from the Latin word that means “healthy” or “wellness.”
SMC is a 133-bed hospital and is classified as a secondary level private general hospital. It provides outpatient and emergency medical services, an intensive care unit (for acute stroke, pediatric and general medicine), specialty services (e.g. EEG, Neurology, Heart), an operating room, a dialysis center, a rehab center for occupational therapy, and a spa and wellness center.
Salubris Inc. was formed on November 2005 and started with 34 incorporators and an authorized capital stock of P5 million, Damasco added.
The founders of Salubris, Inc. were among the founders of the Medical Mission Group Hospital and Health Services Cooperative, a cooperative hospital in Solano.
