BALANGA CITY, Bataan”•The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines recently conducted a seminar for engineers and personnel of electric cooperatives and companies in the provinces of Zambales and Pampanga.
About 35 participants, mostly engineers from Zambales 1 Electric Cooperative Inc. (Zameco1), Zambales 11 Electric Cooperative Inc (Zameco 11), Olongapo Electricity Distribution Inc. (OEDC), Subic Enerzone Corp., and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Co. (Sfelapco) attended the two-day seminar on Overcurrent Protection Relay held at Subic Park Hotel.
NGCP Protection Services Division Unit Head Engineer Rodel Concepcion was the resource person.
The electric transmission company also announced the conduct of communication training for energy information officers in the provinces Bataan and Zambales.
“We want to help energy information officers better communicate with the electric consuming public,” said NGCP Regional Corporate Communication Officer Fely Francisco.
“The training also aims to help them to always provide timely and accurate information to the public,” she also said.
Information officers and personnel of Penelco, Zameco I, Zameco II, OEDC, and other companies in the power industry will be invited in the training. It will be held next month in Subic.
The electric transmission company is also working closely with the local media for effective power reporting and accurate information dissemination. NGCP Bataan Energy Press Corps was formed recently.
