Cavite’s Salazar starts legislative academy at LPU

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite―Cavite Councilor’s League Federation president and Ex-Officio Provincial board member Kerby Salazar has organized an academy that aims to educate local legislators on legislation and good governance.

Salazar launched recently the Cavite Councilor’s Legislative Academy, the pioneer legislative academy here in the country, in cooperation with Lyceum of the Philippines University General Trias City campus in Manggahan.

On the maiden semester, around 64 councilors enrolled in Masters in Public Administration, Legal Studies, Communications, and Operations Management.

“As the leader of hundreds of councilors here in Cavite, I would like them to learn how to craft a good ordinance or resolution on their respective cities and towns.” Salazar said.

Salazar, also the topnotch councilor of progressive city of GenTri is planning to institutionalize the CCLA for it to continue even if his term ends in June 30, 2019.
