President Rodrigo Duterte has delivered his third and by far the shortest State of the Nation Address at the Batasang Pambansa earlier today.
In 48 minutes, Duterte barely made adlibs and read his prepared speech, where he defended his war against illegal drugs, among other pressing issues.
In sharp contrast with his previous SONA, Duterte did not utter any expletives, whereas he cursed 28 times last year. This year, Duterte concluded his speech with 4,795 words, much lesser than last year’s 12,527 words. - Dexter Tilo
