The name is an institution itself.

The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) is a broadcast media organization in the Philippines which provides its members broadcasting standards and which hundreds of radio and television entities have abide by since its inception on April 27, 1973.
A by-product of the desire to promote professional and ethical standards in Philippine broadcasting both in radio and TV, the KBP was born. Forty-six years since its creation, the KBP is still a relevant voice and figure in the Philippine media industry.
Its tagline, “Working for better radio and television for all Filipinos today and the future,” speaks for itself, as the KBP has become a household name. And among the many things it’s known for is it being the organizer of one of the most important awards in Philippine media.
The KBP will be holding its 27th Golden Dove Awards, with the theme “Soaring High As We Bring the Significance of the Craft of TV and Radio Broadcasting,” today at the Star Theater, Star City Complex, Pasay City.
The Golden Dove Awards is an annual awarding ceremony recognizing television and radio stations from Metro Manila and the provinces, programs, personalities, public service announcements and promotional materials coming from broadcasting companies who are members of the KBP.
