From Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook filter craze, the Filipino internet community has found their new love, Pitu.

Pitu, a chinese photo animation and editing app, has recently taken over the Philippine internet. The Chinese app is owned by Tencent, one of the largest internet companies in China.

Downloaded for over 10 million times, Pitu features tools, stickers, and filters that lets users modify or beautify their photos.

The app’s features may sound cliche due to the famous filtering app – Snapchat. However, Pitu offers more than just editing tools, stickers, and filters.

Pitu allows users to insert or swap their faces with any characters of their choice in a high quality finish.

Users can choose to reimagine themselves as a character from the famous HBO series Game of Thrones, a fantasy character, an ancient Chinese woman, and many more.

Pitu’s unique, fun, and exciting features surely sparked the interest of the curious Filipino internet community, which skyrocketed its popularity here in the Philippines.

Pitu is available in both the App Store and Google Playstore for free.
