Will Academy Award winner Robert de Niro attend the grand opening of City of Dreams Manila on Feb. 2?

City of Dreams Manila vice president for public relations Charisse Chuidian is again playing coy, saying she could still not confirm if De Niro would be coming to the Philippines to grace the publicized event. De Niro and partners Japanese culinary chef genius Nobu Matsuhista and Hollywood producer Meir Teper co-own Nobu Hotel, which just opened in the City of Dreams.

Chuidian said the hotel was offering an introductory rate on all room categories until the end of February. The 321-room hotel is the first Nobu Hotel brand in Asia and one of the three luxury hotels that is set operate within the City of Dreams casino complex.

Chuidian, meanwhile, confirmed that Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd. co-chairman and chief executive Lawrence Ho and Australian billionaire James Packer would attend the grand opening of City of Dreams.

One of the highlights of the grand opening is the Concert of Dreams that will feature world-class performances of local and foreign artists.
