Nazareth School of National University sets in motion its bid for a second straight boys crown against University of Santo Tomas Wednesday in the UAAP Season 82 Boys Volleyball Tournament at the Paco Arena.

The showdown between the two previous champions is set at 9 a.m. to open a four-match bill.

Last season's runner-up Far Eastern University-Diliman plays Adamson University at 10:30 a.m., while Ateneo and University of the East cross paths at 12 noon.

UE and UP Integrated School collide in the lone girls' match at 1:30 p.m.

The Bullpups rallied from a 0-1 series deficit to beat the Baby Tamaraws last year to rule the tournament.

NU hopes to make it two in a row despite the graduation of former MVP Lorence Cruz, Pol Salvador, Jules Carlo De Jesus, Jomar Ocampo, Mark Manalo, Dazyl Cayamso, and Jhone Tugas, who all completed their playing eligibility.

De La Salle-Zobel will open its bid for a second-straight Girls' Champions against last season's third placers UST at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the FEU-Diliman Gym.

The Junior Lady Spikers will still have reigning MVP Angel Canino and last season's 2nd Best Outside Hitter Alleiah Malaluan in tow.

Former champion NU, now under new coach Regine Diego and hoping to move on without its aces Faith Nisperos and Roma Mae Doromal, plays UPIS at 10 a.m., while FEU-Diliman and Adamson take the floor at 1 p.m.

The Blue Eagle Gym will host the Sunday boys tripleheader starting with UST-Ateneo at 10 a.m. UE and NU cross paths at 11:30 a.m., to be followed by the 1 p.m. duel between FEU-Diliman and De La Salle-Zobel.
