St. Dominic Savio crowned champ of PVF-Tanduay U-18 volley meet

The undermanned yet seasoned volleyball team of St. Dominic Savio College in Caloocan City defeated Muntinlupa Volleyball Club to claim the  2nd PVF-Tanduay Athletics Under 18 Girls’ Championship over the weekend at the Tanduay Athletics Center (formerly Cantada Sports Center) in Taguig City.

A total of 12 teams participated in the Under 18 event, including Infanta National High School in Infanta, Harell Integrated School and St. Thomas More Academy of Bacoor,  GMA, Sapang Palay Volleyball Club, Parañaque Volleyball Club, Balanga Volleyball Club, Stalwarts Volleyball Club and Hope Integrated School.

It was a fun day filled with exciting action generously supported by young tycoon Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr. The participants and officials enjoyed complimentary meals and drinks in the event organized by the Cantada family, led by Philippine Volleyball Federation president Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada and supported by Tanduay Athletics. There were no entry fees.
