Gina “Conviction” Iniong is on the verge of making her first ONE Championship appearance of 2019, and she knows it will be one of her toughest battles to date.

The Filipina is scheduled to go toe-to-toe against Malaysia's Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan in a three-round women's atomweight contest at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS, which emanates from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on Feb. 16.

It is a clash between two top-notch wushu practitioners, and Iniong is preparing for whatever Radzuan brings to the ring.

“We know that Radzuan is a versatile athlete, and I’m ready for whatever she brings,” she said.

“We are improving all aspects of my game in preparation for this match. I know I’m facing a tough opponent, but I definitely know how I can beat her.”

Despite their similarities in martial arts backgrounds, the 29-year-old Baguio City native believes she still has the upper hand if they stick to striking.

While she is not neglecting Radzuan's other skills, "Conviction" believes the Malaysian’s willingness to trade on the feet will eventually lead to her downfall.

“Radzuan has many weapons, so I need to be careful as I execute my offense. I have watched videos of her previous matches, and I think my stand-up game could give her some problems,” Iniong continued.

“One of my objectives is to force her to trade strikes with me until my heavy bombs find their targets.”

With the intention of making a statement in her ONE return, Iniong has no plans of leaving this bout in the hands of the judges.

"I am looking for a knockout win," Iniong said.

“I believe that I am the stronger athlete between the two of us and I will do my best to get the best out of it.“
