Team Lakay standout Gina “Conviction” Iniong is bracing for a tough battle against Malaysian rising star Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan when she makes her return in a ONE Championship cage.
The ladies are set to take centerstage at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS which eminates from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on 16 February.
Iniong is excited to strut her wares against the unbeaten Radzuan who she describes as a world-class athlete.
“She’s a world-class athlete and a great champion that’s why we have a great game plan ready for this match,” said Iniong.
“I’m always excited to compete. I’m really excited to display the hard work and preparations we did inside the gym,” Iniong said.
Radzuan will be coming into the contest unbeaten in all four contests, while also being a World Champion Wushu practitioner herself.
But despite the impressive resume of her foe, Iniong remains unfazed, confident that she can take on whatever Radzuan has in store for her.
“It will be a really exciting fight, whether it stays on our feet or goes to the ground. I think grappling is her strength, but I will not underestimate her striking,” Iniong said.
“It will be challenging to go up against one young hungry competitor. But it will be nice to see how I fare against an athlete of her caliber.”
