It's all systems go for the sixth staging of the Pasay ‘The Travel City’ Racing Festival set on Nov. 3 at the MetroTurf Racing Complex in Malvar, Batangas.
Tough and tested runners were nominated in the three major stakes races that highlight the day-long festivities heralding the anniversary of Pasay City, the country’s noted gateway to the metropolis.
There are 12 exciting runners nominated in the 6th Pasay ‘The Travel City’ Cup composed of Certain To Win, Garantisado, Gomper Gird. Metamorphosis, Pangalusian Island, Scarborough Shoal, Sooner Time, Stella Malone, Summer Romance, Truly Ponti, Und Kantar, at Victorious Colt.
Meantime, there are seven gallopers nominated in the 6th Pasay Rep. Tony Calixto Cup and they are Boss Emong, My Jopay, Patong Patong, Refuse To lose, Shanghai Grey, Toy For the Big Boy, and The Accountant.
These two stakes races have a whopping total guaranteed prize of P700,000 each for the top four placers and will be disputed the same 1,600-meter distance.
Meanwhile, the 5th Former Pasay Mayor Eduardo ‘Duay’ Calixto Memorial Cup has eight nominees, namely Harapin Mo, Joyous Solution, Mark of Excellence, Miss Campbell, Queensboro, To It’s Si Bing, Top Attraction, and Union Run. A total of P300,000 is at stake in this 1,600-meter race.
Pasay City Rep. Tony Calixto is inviting all racing fans to watch and be part of the day-long festivities on Nov. 3 as heart-pounding races can be witnessed at the racetrack and non-stop raffle of exciting prizes on the side.
“We are now on the sixth edition of this annual racing festivities that is part of the Pasay City founding anniversary celebration. This is getting bigger every year and and we would like to invite you to be a part of this year’s affair,” Rep. Calixto said.
There will be eight other major Trophy Races to be held, such as the Pasay City Mayor Emi-Calixto Rubiano Trophy Race, Pasay Vice Mayor Noel del Rosario Trophy Race, Coun. Mark Calixto Trophy Race, Pasay City Engineer’s Trophy Race, Pasay City Councilors District I Trophy Race, Pasay City Councilors District II Trophy Race, Pasay City Barangays Trophy Race, and the Resorts World Manila Trophy Race. All the Winning Owners will bring home an added P30,000 together with a handsome trophy each.
