The technical handbooks that will be used in the 30th Southeast Asian Games will be ready by the end of the month.

Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee executive director Tom Carrasco said this after many national sports associations sought a review of the rulebooks that will be used for the Games.

As of June 20, we have turned over copies to the marketing department for layout. Once approved, we will have it printed,” said Carrasco.

Carrasco added that 46 of 61 copies of the technical manuals are ready for printing.

The availability of the technical handbook has been questioned by many NSAs, most of which are worried about the progress of ongoing preparations for the Games.

Around 75 percent of the handbooks are now ready for printing, according to Carrasco.

He added that 15 of 61 handbooks have issues with the NSAs on venues and the competitions that will be held. And they comprise 25 percent of the total.

“Sabi nila, wala pang lumalabas na handbook. Talagang wala dahil nasa layout pa. But we target to have them released by June 30,” stated Carrasco.

Meanwhile, the sports equipment that will used in the Games are currently being bidded out by the PSC.

And the amount of equipment that’s being purchased has reached a price tag of P450 million, according to Carrasco.
