National University completed a men’s first-round sweep recently with a 4-1 conquest of defending champion University of the East in the UAAP Season 81 lawn tennis tournament at the Colegio de San Agustin courts in City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

In the women’s division, De La Salle turned back titleholder University of Santo Tomas, 4-1, to rule the first round with three wins and a loss.
