4 entries lead World Slasher Cup at Big Dome

Four participants inched closer to winning the 2019 World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby championship after tallying 5-0 (win-loss) cards each last Thursday at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The fans can expect world-class encounters as the World Slasher Cup enters its hird and last semi-final round today at the Araneta Coliseum.

Yigo Fighter (Elmer Stoka of Guam), Risk Taker RFS RMD DV LAW (Jomel Gatlabayan and RGBA Friends), Reloaded (A. Bernos of Abra), and CPB & Cris have identical five wins going to the 4-cock grand finals on Feb. 6. 

The third and last semi-final round fires off today, Saturday Feb. 2, and sabong fans can expect world class encounters from start to finish plus a chance to win a 32-inch LED TV from Powertrac’s raffle promo.

More fights sizzle in today’s semis backed by Thunderbird, Emperador, Powertrac, Pitgames Media, The Journal Group, Saksi Ngayon, Diaryo Bomba, and “Sabong Pilipinas” on ABS-CBN Sports + Action.

Spearheaded by the Pintakasi of Champions, the nine-day WSC 1 got valuable support from Pitgames Media CEO Manny Berbano, who also hosts “Tukaan” on TV5.

Those with four points in the thick of the semis are: CBP, Dante Eslabon, Jun Bacolod; Butch Cambra and Chito; Lito Cay and Raymond Velayo; Pros Antonio; Ricky Magtuto, Jeffrey Sy and Aylwyn Sy; Carlos Camacho and Jorge Goitia; Nestor Vendivil and Dhee Ocampo; GPE; and sabong idol Patrick Antonio.

Aiming for a perfect 5-0 (win-loss) card today are Nathan Jumper of Missisipi and partner Celso Evangelista of LGBA (two entries), Nene Araneta, Biboy Enriquez, Kano Raya, Boy Guinto, Cris Aguas, Rodolfo Pineda, Emil Tiu, Raffy Zaide, Choi Ampil, Santi Sierra, Magno Lim, Ruben Tan and the group of Felix, RC and Eddie Gatchalian. 

The three-day finals start tomorrow.

The schedules: Feb. 3 and 4 (4 -cock finals for entries with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points) and Feb. 6 (4 -cock grand finals for entries with 4, 4.5 and 5 points). Audiences may get their tickets at the Ticketnet Booth, Yellow Gate, Coliseum Circle. 

Cockers can start getting ready for WSC 2 on May 27 to June 2.
