Requests for equipment of many national sports associations who are preparing for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games have been addressed.

And a lot more are still waiting.

Officials of the Philippine Sports Commission said this as the government sports agency addresses the need to take care of the ongoing preparations for the Games.

“Last week, we received than P100-million worth of requests. And this requires purchasing. I don’t know how fast,” said Ramirez.

Around 25 NSAs have submitted their requests, and they are waiting for more.

So far, the PSC has submitted the documents which details all the expenses of the Games to the Senate.

And they are now waiting for the approval of the P7.5 billion budget for hosting the SEA Games.

The Senate has asked the agency to provide details of the proposed budget,

With seven months to go, the budget for the Games has not yet released.

The Philippines will host the Games from November 29 to December 10 next year, and most of the events will be held at the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac, Subic, Bulacan and in Metro Manila.
