The La Salle Dance Company Street pulled off an energetic party-themed performance to reclaim the title in the UAAP Season 79 streetdance competition.

Winning for the first time since winning back-to-back in 2011 and 2012, LSDC ended University of the Philippines Street's three-year reign.

UP Street settled for second place while University of Santo Tomas Prime bagged third place in the league's final side event of the season.

Outgoing Season 79 president Fr. Ermito de Sagon and UST Rector Very Rev. Fr. Herminio Dagohoy OP turned over the UAAP hosting responsibilities to incoming Season 80 president Anton Montinola and FEU president Dr. Michael Alba.

The just-concluded season saw De La Salle regain the men's basketball throne, winning a back-to-back women's volleyball throne and a perfect women's football season.  Ateneo gained redemption in men's football and baseball aside from topping the men's volleyball for the third straight year via a 16-0 sweep.
