FOR now, Lyceum Pirates’ coach Topex Robinson and two coaches of the College of St. Benilde Blazers will be spared of sanctions for speaking against the Management Committee of the National Collegiate Athletic Association over their decision to suspend Pirates’ cager CJ Perez.

Decisions and actions against Robinson and CSB coaches TY Tang and Charles Tiu will be done after the finals of the 94th NCAA men’s basketball tournament is finished.

“The Mancom decided to give CSB and LPU coaches enough time to finish the remaining final games. Then, after which we are putting continuance to the proceedings in the spirit of sportsmanship and with the best intetest of the league,” said the Mancom, headed by Frank Gusi of the University of Perpetual Help.

The Mancom discussed the statements made by Robinson, Tang and Tiu on the league’s decision to sanction Perez after he joined the rookie draft of the Philippine Basketball Association without notifying the league.

“The reason it’s painful for us is because CJ didn’t do anything wrong. Hindi naman siya nag-ligang labas,” said Robinson, whose opinion was backed by Tang and Tiu.
