The athletes expressed excitement for their coming trip during the press conference, all looking forward in meeting other all-stars and in making new friends.

Most of them find their inspiration from their families, others including their coaches, through the support that they receive.

Jr. NBA MVP, Prince Ray Alao, 14, said that proper time management and knowing his priorities helped him in balance his training and his academics.

“‘Yung mga homework ko po kasi ginagawa ko sa school,” said Alao, who studies in San Beda University, adding that it gives him plenty of time to rest after their training, which ends at about 8 p.m.

NBA Legend Cherokee Parks and Los Angeles Sparks Forward Alana Beard were scheduled to grace the event, but the US Embassy pulled them out for unknown reasons.
