Team Ballers, Metro Star Realty, F4 and BS Susim Shipping teams won the first two legs of the Vivo’s 3×3 Hoop Battle Championship in the Philippines recently at the Glorietta Mall, Makati City and at the TriNoma Mall, Quezon City.
The first Vivo 3×3 Basketball tournament is giving Filipino hoop fans the chance to experience 3×3 basketball tournament.
The first game that was held last July 1 had a total of 12 teams participating in the tournament, namely Pio Makati, Arellano University 1, Mamba Army MNL, Team Downtown, New Born: St. Claire College, Bigshot Burger, Glorietta, Zion, Turbo and Team 3WC, with Team Ballers and Metro Star Realty emerging as winners.
The second leg topped by F4 and the BS Susim Shipping also had 12 teams such as Alphas, D’Engineers, California Supreme, Fuego Heneral, Bulacan Hoopers, Spartans, Radiant Hoops, Ballerz, Team Mommy Kate and Team 3WA.
The last leg of the tournament will be held on July 22 in Fairview Terraces.
The top two teams per leg will advance to the finals set on July 29 in Market! Market!
Vivo will give the two best teams in the tournament a cash prize of P200,000 and P100,000, as well as the chance to play in Guangzhou, China, where they will duel against other groups in Asia with the Hoop Battle Champion title at stake.
The Hoop Battle Championship is an annual 3×3 basketball tournament, held in different districts in China and other Asian countries, created by VIVO, a global smartphone brand that develops innovative and stylish products for young people.
