Win number three will be the main focus of the Davao Occidental Cocolife Tigers when they face the Makati Skyscrapers in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup Southern Division in Binan City, Laguna on Thursday.

After posting back-to-back victories against the Quezon City Capitals and Imus Bandera, the Mindanao LGU team of Claudine Bautista and  Cocolife, headed by its president Elmo Nobleza, with FVP Joseph Ronquillo and AVP Rowena Asnan, dropped a close 88-91 squeaker to the Bataan Risers at the Navotas Sports Arena recently.

Team managers Bhong Baribar and Ray Alao, coaches Don Dulay and deputies Manu Inigo and Rob Wainwright, together with the players went back to the drawing board to analyze the team’s strengths and weaknesses as they focused on their next assignment, the Makati Skyscrapers at Alonte Sports Center in Laguna, the first match of the twinbill before the hosts Laguna Heroes go up against the Manila Stars in the nightcap.

“Breaks of the game decided the outcome of our last assignment against Bataan, so we are now focused in getting back to life in Binan to stay within reach of the early frontrunners in this league by Sen. Manny Pacquiao,” said head coach Dulay.

Davao Cococlife [2-1] will once again rely of the effective backcourt tandem of Emman Calo and Joseph Terso, with the able support from ex-pro Leo Najorda and Mark Yee, Bonbon Custodio, Bogs Raymundo, Billy Ray Robles, Arnold Adormeo and its homegrown talents.
